Glamor shots!

This past week was allllllll about making big decisions and being responsible. Tuesday we met with not only a potential pediatrian, but with a potential doula as well. (Spoiler alert: we loved them both.)
I got a recommendation for our pediatrician from a close friend with a little one. (Thanks again Allison!) The location was right, the credentials of the doctors sounded good so I thought we should give it a go. I went in to the pediatricians office with full intentions of asking great questions and getting all the information I needed. But the doctor (Dr. Madden of Esse Health on Watson Road) answered everything straight off the bat! He was really personable and warm. I instantly liked him. I definitely felt like Kuhlette would be in good hands with him. Oh, and the waiting rooms (one for sick kids, one for healthy kids)amd exam rooms were so nice!
I stalked all doulas in the St. Louis area with an updated web presence in order to find the one we eventually interviewed. It happened to be the first doula I sent an email to. I felt the name of the practice, Purple Lotus Doulas, was perfect. Yup, I am shallow like that. Joe and I met with her one evening at our house and suddenly an hour and a half flew by. She put both of us at ease and made Joe a true believer in the worth of a doula. I am so excited that we have this opportunity. It wouldn't be without my sister and her husband :)
In baby growing news, Kuhlette is still growing and still kicking. Which are two wonderful things. Next week we have another doctor's appointment AND a growth ultrasound. Looking forward to seeing her again, and hoping they can confirm she truly is a she! Oh, and also hoping to hear she is healthy, on track and on time. :)
